Dear colleagues,
You did it: Over 50 percent of your LHX workforce has joined ver.di and become ver.di members in order to push for collective agreements that improve working and pay conditions.
You deserve full respect for that. Many of you have contributed to reaching this goal by engaging in the supporters’ circle or by talking with colleagues. You can be proud of what you’ve achieved and how quickly you have come together as a strong collective. Now, a majority of you are demanding ver.di collective agreements that will bring significant improvements in pay, as well as in working, planning, and deployment conditions. To achieve this, it’s important that we secure and continue to grow our strength. Especially because new colleagues are joining LHX almost daily. We want to convince both the new employees and those who are not yet organized in ver.di. Because when we all pull together, we can achieve more at the bargaining table. So please keep encouraging your colleagues to join the ver.di collective bargaining movement.
This call explicitly also goes out to colleagues who have previously supported another union.
You are warmly welcome with us! Let’s now bring together our commitment and strengths in
the area that the majority of colleagues from both cabin and cockpit have democratically
chosen.

What happens next?
Now that more than 50% of LHX employees are ver.di members, we have called on the management of Lufthansa City Airlines to enter into collective bargaining negotiations for pay agreements and a general collective agreement. We have proposed concrete negotiation dates starting in early July.
As soon as we receive a response from the employer, we will inform you.
In the meantime, the ver.di bargaining committees will begin their work and will, in the short
term, develop concrete demands for the negotiations based on the results of the demands
survey.
We will keep you informed every step of the way.
