Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen,
wie ihr aus den Veröffentlichungen eurer PV wisst, will easyJet auch weiterhin einen schnellen Personalabbau mit Kündigungen durchsetzen. Wie ihr auch wisst, haben wir als Gewerkschaft easyJet zu Tarifverhandlungen zur Beschäftigungssicherung aufgefordert. Wir wollen die Arbeitsplätze schützen und das Unternehmen muss seine Mitarbeiter mit durch die Krise nehmen! Dazu stehen Instrumente wie z.B. die Kurzarbeit zur Verfügung. Die deutsche Regierung hat dafür den Weg bis Ende 2021 frei gemacht.
Nach dem „stillen“ Protest auf der Betriebsversammlung ist es nun an der Zeit, den Protest laut und öffentlich zu machen. Damit unsere Position und die Position der PV gestärkt werden!
Wir rufen deshalb alle Beschäftigte von easyJet in Tegel und Schönefeld zu einer Protestkundgebung am Donnerstag, den 24.9.2020 von 9:00 bis 11:00 vor dem Intercity-Hotel in Schönefeld (Am Seegraben 2, B96a) auf!
Durch zahlreiche Teilnahme können wir dem Management zeigen was wir von ihren Abbauplänen halten.
Wir bitten euch, die derzeit geltenden Hygieneregelungen bei Demonstrationen in Brandenburg zu beachten (Abstand und Mund-Nase-Schutz). Eine zahlenmäßige Beschränkung gibt es im Land Brandenburg nicht.
Dear Colleagues,
As you will know from the updates from your PV, it looks like easyJet intends to continue its plans to make redundancies and reduce the number of employees in Berlin. Ver.di members will also be aware that we have called for the company to conduct talks with the union, with the aim to save as many jobs as possible, it’s our opinion that easyJet has the chance and responsibility to help keep its people in employment through the crisis. There are various mechanisms in place to help achieve this, primarily the KuG scheme which the German government have already extended until the end of next year. But easyJet have to be willing to accept their responsibility.
After our silent protest during the Works Assemblies, now is the time get loud in a public display of protest, not only against easyJet’s failure to act and take any responsibility for the welfare of its employees thus far, but also to show support and solidarity for the endeavours of our PV and TK reps and show the company we stand behind them.
We now call on ALL Berlin based crew, to gather in peaceful loud protest in front of the:
Intercity-Hotel in Schönefeld (Am Seegraben 2, B96a) Thursday the 24th of September from 09:00 until 11:00.
This is our opportunity to let management know in no uncertain terms, what we think of their plans to reduce the workforce in the Berlin bases.
Maximum attendance is crucial to get our message across and in Brandenburg there is no current restrictions on numbers for outdoor gatherings. However we ask that all those attending abide by the social distancing regulations and wear suitable mouth and nose coverings.
